On 14 May, Solemnity of St. Michael Garicoits, three young novices: Maria Soosia Arokia Wine, Jose Manavalan and Edwin James Marottikkal Jestin, from the Vicariate of India (Blessed Mary of Jesus Crucified Region) are going to make their first profession.

On Monday, May 14th, the community of Bangalore celebrated with doubled joy and emotion the feast of our Founder by welcoming three young Indian brothers in our family of Betharram: Vino, Edwin and Jestin pronounced their first vows so to become faithful companions of St Michel Garicoïts too.

On October 9-10 the Sacred Heart Vicariate of India held its 5th General Assembly. On the agenda there were different topics: Good Governance, formation, mission, finances, projects.

October 31st – This month the Indian Vicariate welcomed the Regional Superior for the canonical visitation of the different communities and Mission Centres in the Diocese of Bangalore: St Thomas parish, HAL where Fr  John Britto SCJ is assistant parish priest. St Anthony's Parish Adhigondana Halli where Frs Valan and Arul are Parish Priest and Assitant Parish priest. Holy Name Parish, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, where Fr. Anthony Britto is the Parish priest.

On Thursday, August 18th, Fr. Gaspar along with Fr. Enrico, Fr. Austin and Fr. Biju Alappat, paid a visit to the Apostolic Carmel’s Generalate.

Bangalore, August 31. After the visit of Fr Gaspar, our Superior General and the ordination of three of our brothers, Fr. Enrico and Fr. Dominic Innamorati remained with us for a few more days.

On September, 3rd  the three newly ordained priests i.e. Frs. Pascal, Vincent and Wilfred celebrated their thanksgiving mass at Shobhana Shaakha where they had their initial formation as candidates, college students and novices.

On 16th  October 2011 Shobhana Shaakha community welcomed a group of 87 children. Children from Adikondana Halli , Yedavana Halli and T.C Palya took part in one day Jolly camp.

On November 1-2,  the Regional Council of Blessed Miriam region held in Shobhana Shaakha, Bangalore, their first meeting after the general chapter.

On October 14th, the second year’s Novices, bros. Edwin, Vino and Justin went to the North East for their mission experience, for a period of 5 months.
