On March 23rd, in a moving ceremony at the end of the first annual meeting of the Regional Council, Fr. Rogelio Ramirez, superior of the community, took office as Parish Priest  in the San Jose Parish, adjacent to the college of the same name. The Regional Superior, Fr Gustavo Agin, and his Council members  were also present along with other Betharramite religious.

In the night of August 9, in Asunción (Paraguay), died Fr. Rogelio Ramirez.

On September 8-9, the vocation promotion team (Fr Crispin, Br Sixto, Fr Alberto and Br Osmar) held the first meeting in the retreat house of Catapiá (Paraguay). It was attended by two young men from Ciudad del Este, four from San Joaquin and one from Curuguaty.

Friday December 14, Br. Osmar Vicente Cáceres Spaini made his perpetual profession.

From 23 to 25 November, 37 students of the College of San José Asunción, made a mission experience in four places in the La Colmena community (Martinez-cue, Potrero Garay, San Antonio and San Miguel), around the theme “Sanjosianos a tu DISPOSICIÓN cumpliendo tu MISIÓN” (The students of the College of St. Joseph ready to carry out yours mission).

On July 16, the 6th  edition of the meeting of the Betharramite religious in Latin America (ELAB), was inaugurated  in the community of Lambaré (Asunción - Paraguay).

From July 16 to 19 the Religious of the Father Auguste Etchecopar Region gathered in Lambaré, Paraguay, for the ELAB (gathering of Betharramites in Latin America). Fr Gaspar Fernandez, the Superior General, and Fr Graziano Sala, secretary-bursar general, are also present.

On August 20-24, the Betharramite Religious of the Vicariate of Paraguay made their annual retreat. In these days of prayer, the religious kept a vivid memory of Fr Rogelio Ramirez scj, who died recently.

Tuesday, October 30th, the communities of the Vicariate of Paraguay, gathered for the  the third "Inter-community Meeting" at La Colmena, Betharramite Parish about 160 km from Asunción.

In the southern hemisphere, the month of January is the equivalent of "Ferragosto" (summer holidays) in Europe: many people go on holiday to the seaside, to the mountains, etc.
