On September 16 Mrs Donatella Pesenti died after a short period of illness. She had been for almost 20 years the housekeeper in a Betharram community in charge of the Shrine “Our Lady of Caravina” (Italy).

On September 21, after a short period of illness, Mrs Maria Sala, aged 87, died at Desio (Italy). She was mother of Br Angelo Sala scj, of the community Saint Michael at Bouar (Central African Republic).

On  June 12th, a booklet, "Guidelines for spirituality of the Betharramite Fathers ", will be presented in the premises of the Parish of the Sacred Heart at Lissone.

On Saturday, June 9th in the Chapel of San Gottardo in Milan, two works of art made by Fr Ercole Ceriani scj, architect, were inaugurated at the presence of Card. Dionigi Tettamanzi, emeritus Achibishop of Milan.

On Monday 11 June, over 250 children, guided by 35 animators started the traditional experience of the “oratorio” (Parish youth club) in the premises of the Sacred Heart Parish in Montemurlo. (Italy).

On Saturday, October 20th , the young people who were at Betharram in July (26-30) for the Centenary of the Crowning of Our Lady, gathered at Montemurlo (Italy).

March 10-18, the Community of Villa del Pino and the Association “Il Mosaico” celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the opening of the Family  Home for people suffering from AIDS, in Monteporzio Catone (Rome).

On the World AIDS Day, November 30th , the Association “Il Mosaico”, invited all its associates for a lunch in a restaurant in order to renew their membership for the new year.

From 7 to 9 December, the Lay movement of young Betharramites (BetharrAmici, friends of Betharram) held their first meeting in Rome and they were  put up in the Generalate. On Saturday afternoon, after two talks on St Michael Garicoits,  they put to the test their betharramite spirit by “evangelising” the passers-by at Piazza del Popolo.

On August 19th , Mrs. Giuseppina Pessina, sister of the late Fr Angelo Pessina, scj, died at Solbiate (Como, Italy).
