On December 23, 2022, the community of the long-awaited interregional novitiate in the Holy Land, during a celebration presided over by the Superior General, Fr. Gustavo Agín Scj, officially inaugurated the novitiate under the protection of St. Joseph.

On Sunday, December 11, in the Betharramite parish of La Colmena (Paraguay), Br. Aguilera Aquino Benito SCJ made his first vows in the hands of the Regional Superior, Fr. Daniel González scj.
A new beginning for the formation programme of Br. Aníbal SCJ, Br. Oscar SCJ and Br. Thiago SCJ
Br. Aníbal SCJ, Br. Oscar SCJ and Br. Thiago SCJ have completed the stage of formation of the scholasticate in Belo Horizonte and will now be sent to different communities to continue to live the joy of the religious life in community.

Diaconal Ordination of Br. Sergio Leiva SCJ
On Sunday 6 November, at the end of the Pre-Chapter of the Region Fr. Auguste Etchecopar, during a solemn concelebration held in the College of Puente Remanso, Br. Sergio Leiva SCJ was ordained Deacon, by the laying on of hands of Mgr. Ignacio Gogorza SCJ, Betharramite Bishop emeritus of Encarnación.

Pre-Regional Chapter of the Region Fr. August Etchecopar
San Bernardino (Paraguay) - The pre-Regional Chapter of the Fr. August Etchecopar Region took place on 4, 5 and 6 November. The laity and all the religious who wished to participate were invited to attend.
Fr Gustavo meets the scj religious and the Companions
October 25 - Fr. Gustavo's visit to the community of Olton was carried out in two stages. On Sunday, October 16, during the Sunday masses, after the proclamation of the Gospel, he shared some aspects of the Betharramite spirituality and thanked the parish community for the material and spiritual support offered to the SCJ fathers and brothers.

On Tuesday, October 25, Mr. Remigio Trameri, 88-year-old, brother of Fr. Albino Trameri SCJ, of the St. Michael community of Albavilla (Vicariate of Italy), returned to the Father's house.

Betharram, October 23 - The last day of the Regional Chapter was marked by the vote of the proposals presented in the assembly.
Annual retreat for the Vicariate of England
During 17th to 21st of October 2022, English Vicariate members gathered together for the Annual Retreat at Shallowford Retreat House in Stone.
Busy days for the members of the Chapter of the St. Michael Garicoïts Region
Betharram - Thursday 20 October: second day of the Regional Chapter. The presentation of the Vicariates continued with the Vicariate of the Holy Land, followed by the report of the Vicariate of the Ivory Coast. The celebration of the Eucharist was presided over by Fr. Piero Trameri scj (Regional Vicar in Italy) and took place in the chapel of St. Michael Garicoïts.
The St. Michael Garicoïts Region celebrates the third Regional Chapter
The third Regional Chapter opened in Betharram on Wednesday morning, October 19, with a reflection on the Heart of Jesus by Father Daniel Régent, a Jesuit. In the late morning, the members of the Chapter celebrated the Eucharist at the Oratory, the room of the Holy Founder.
Canonical Visit to Nottingham betharramite community
On 14th of October 2022, Fr. Gustavo Agín SCJ, part of the canonical visitation of Nottingham SCJ community, joined the celebration of thanksgiving with the parishioners at Our Lady and St. Patrick's, Meadows Nottingham. The celebration began with welcome to Fr. Gustavo by the two young parishioners. The Principal celebrant was Fr. Gustavo and used the Votive Mass of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for the celebration of the Holy Mass. At the end of the Mass, Fr. Gustavo addressed the congregation and in his words appreciated the parishioners for the welcome given to Betharram fathers and brothers in Nottingham. He invited them to be part of our mission by not only providing material assistance but also through spiritual enrichment especially through their own baptismal calling to uplift us as a Religious. The evening celebration was concluded with a buffet meal.

Sunday, October 16, our Brother, Father Dominique Etchepare SCJ, has returned to the Lord. Member of Betharram “Maison Neuve” community (Vicariate of France-Spain), Father Dominique was 95 of age and 76 years of religious profession.

Opening of the community year in the formation house of Adiopodoumé
Monday, 19 September, in the formation house of Adiapodoumé, the community and academic year 2022 - 2023 was officially started.
Indian Vicariate in Assembly
On the 19th of September all the members of the Indian vicariate gathered in Assembly. The Meeting began with the prayer led by the Deacons and with the lighting of the lamp as a sign of welcoming Christ in our midst.

Vicariate of India adding three more deacons in the service of the Lord
On 15.09.2022, our three young Betharramites Br. Joseph Packiaraj SCJ, Br. Avinash Sagayaraj SCJ, and Br. Pobitro Minj SCJ were ordained deacons by His Lordship Gerald Isaac Lobo of the diocese of Udupi at the chapel of Betharram Formation House, Mangalore in the presence of Fr. Eduardo Gustavo Agin SCJ, the Superior General, Fr. Enrico Frigerio SCJ the Regional Superior, Fr. Stervin Selvadass SCJ the General councillor for formation, and Fr. Arul Gnana Prakash SCJ the Regional Vicar.

On Sunday 4 September, in the Betharramite Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Lissone (Vicariate of Italy), the novices Br. François Boytende SCJ and Br. Bourgeois N'Gbalet SCJ, at the end of the second year of novitiate, made their temporary profession in the hands of the Regional Superior, Fr. Jean-Luc Morin SCJ.

September 7 - Mrs. Jane Maria Pias, 53 years old, has died. She was the mother of Br. Steven Rodrigues SCJ, scholastic of the community of formation of Mangalore, Vicariate of India.
Br. Christian Yao SCJ ordained to the priesthood.
On September 3rd, at St Bernard's parish of Adiapodoumé, Br. Christian was ordained a priest by the laying on of hands of Mgr. Bruno Yedoh, Bishop of Bondoukou.
Pilgrimage of Basque people to Ibarre
On past Wednesday, August 31st, took place, in Basque, the traditional pilgrimage to Ibarre, the birthplace of San Michael Garicoïts.
