Priestly ordinations in Thailand

On June 28, in the Cathedral of the “Sacred Heart” of Chiang Mai (Thailand), two young Betharramites were ordained priests in a solemn celebration presided by the Bishop of the Diocese, Mgr Francis Xavier Vira Arpondratana: Br. Andrew Manop Kaengkhiao SCJ and Br. Stephen Banjerd Chuensuklerttaweekul SCJ, along with other deacons: one from the Diocese of Chiang Mai; two from the Jesuit Congregation and one from the Congregation of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate.

Then on 1st July, Fr. Andrew Manop celebrated a thanksgiving mass in his home village, Ban Pangtong.

On 2 July it was the turn of Fr. Stephen Banjerd to celebrate a solemn thanksgiving mass at his native village, Ban Maehaenua.

We extend our congratulations and our best wishes to the newly ordained preists.
