On Sunday 8 April, in the Vicariate of O. L. of Fatima of the Colonia Juan Sinforiano Bogarín (Paraguay), during a solemn concelebration, Br. Cristian Ismael Romero SCJ made his perpetual vows.

Community life
On March 24th, on the 38th anniversary of the martyrdom of Mgr Romero, Archbishop of El Salvador, Dr. Pilar Silveira, parishioner of Paso de los Toros (parish entrusted to our Congregation), gave an emotional speech about the figure and the writings of this Archbishop who died as a Martyr, and who will be canonized soon.

Passing the flame in the Archdiocese of Rabat
On December 29, 2017, Pope Francis accepted the resignation of our brother, Mgr. Vincent Landel SCJ, as Archbishop of Rabat, due to age limits. On the same date, the Pope appointed as Archbishop of Rabat Fr. Cristóbal López Romero, SDB, until now Provincial of the Salesian Province of Maria Auxiliadora in Spain.
Feast of St. Joseph with the Vicariate Council in India
Mangalore, 19th March 2018 - The Community of Maria Kripa at Mangalore had the joy of celebrating the Feast of St. Joseph with the Vicariate Council.

In memoriam ...
On March 16, Mrs. Erbin Marie, aged 83, returned to the Father's house. Mrs. Marie was sister of Fr. Pierre Caset scj (from the community of Betharram “Maison Neuve” - Vicariate of France-Spain).
160th anniversary of the San José College of Buenos Aires
On March 19, 1858, thanks to the Rev. Fr. Diego Barbé scj, the oldest Betharramite college in Latin America opened its doors: the San José College of Buenos Aires.

First steps of Fr. Subesh scj in the Vicariate of Argentina-Uruguay
Adrogué, 9 March - A significant moment has taken place at the formation house in Adrogué (Argentina). Fr Subesh scj came from the Indian Vicariate just over two weeks ago. Now he is adjusting to the new reality and studying the language.

The three Betharramite communities present in the Diocese of Bouar (Central African Republic) shared a great joy with the whole community of the diocese: after two years of waiting, the diocese of Bouar has a new Bishop.

160th anniversary of the apparitions of Lourdes
On Sunday 11 February 2018 the Sanctuary of Lourdes celebrated 160 years of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Saint Bernadette Soubirous. We know that between Betharram and Lourdes there was a very strong bond, because St. Bernadette would come to Betharram to meet St. Michael Garicoits.

Meeting of the Service of the Betharramite Formation
From February 5 to 10 at the Generalate in Rome, there took place the meeting of the Betharramite Formation Service, presided over by Fr. Eduardo Gustavo Agín SCJ, Superior General and coordinated by Fr Stervin Selvadass SCJ, General Councilor for Formation and coordinator of the group of formators.
